Field Trip & Interview
Interview with Alvin Tobing
After our group watched Carmen, we decided to seek out to interview some of the Carmen cast. We decided to interview Alvin Tobing and ask him our inquiries.
Do you think the message of the story is shown best through musical theatre? "I feel like since we performed an opera, the story was understood better because this time we had all the different kinds of arts, and to me it helps the audience feel like they're a part of the story" What was the hardest part of this project? "It may be a little hard since this is a bilingual play and since we have never learnt this language before, and we only had four months, our time was very limited and to me that was the biggest challenge of all." |

Shrek - The Musical Comedy Show
Shrek the musical was a delightful musical performance . The story was originally made in USA , it was released on April 22 , 2001 . Shrek is an animation that brings joy and laughter to people's faces . It was first performed as an animation in the theatres .
The story is set in a forest near a kingdom called ' Far Far Away ' . There lived an ogre named Shrek who was depressed about not finding a friend . After more than 10 years of waiting , he found a friend and yet a wife . Shrek is known for the comedy that made the tears move away from our eyes . Turns out, Shrek the musical play, wants to give us a message to raise awareness that: "Is it wrong to judge people based on their physical appearance" Doesn't mean if people are good in their physical appearance, they are always smart or have kind heart and vice versa. That is why, we should not judge a book by its cover. Madagascar- The Broadway ShowMadagascar is a Broadway production that came to BSD City to perform. The show is really amazing. The story is about 4 animal escaped the Central Park Zoo. They went to a jungle and met King Julian who appears to be a raccoon. Then the Lion is really hungry and almost eats his best friend. The show is really enjoyable for kids. There is the fun part when they tell us to stand up and they told us to move with their song "move it".
The message that this play wants to give us is that, the lion values his friendship more than himself. Even though he is hungry, he doesn't want to hurt his best friend. |
